1999 photomatched Sammy Sosa PSA GU 9. Has more of a Thome style tape job, deep seam impressions, and a nice big signature. The bat has been photomatched to August 26, 1999. Sosa homered on this day and the day before. Now I have no match to the exact swing but I found a clip on YouTube that when paused shows Sosa in the same body stance and the shadows are the same as a Getty image. I’m not saying it’s matched to the home run but definitely suggests it’s possible. With the matches Taube said he'd bump the grade up to a 9.5
Easy to forget that Bonds nearly (and likely should have) won 4 consecutive MVP awards in Pittsburgh. Without looking it up, anyone remember who beat him out for the award in ‘91?
Great bat. Probably a 99% chance that its a home run bat, multiple home run bat.
